Eco Printing on Paper
January 19th 12pm-3pm
Join us in a hands-on workshop creating beautiful eco printed paper.
During this workshop we will learn about the different types of paper that can be used, the wide variety of leaves available and how to preserve them for future use. I will cover the tools and equipment needed as well as the different mordants and how they react during the printing process.
You will create 5 beautiful prints to take home.
We will be holding the workshop at the lovely Raincoast Farms, which is located just outside of Port Townsend. They are a micro winery and event venue.
Class size is limited to 12

Eco Printing on Fabric
January 26th 12pm-3pm
Join me in exploring the beauty of printing on silk and cotton.
During this hands-on workshop we will be creating a silk scarf with a companion cotton scarf for you to take home. I will cover the different types of fabric that are suited to eco printing as well as the leaves that give the best prints and how to preserve them for future use. During the class we will also discuss the natural dyes that can be used during eco printing and the different types of mordants, how to create them or where to source them. I will also cover the tools and equipment used for the printing process.
